    (i) Effect of Law
      (1) Not Cause of Action
"It is well established that the safe-place statute does not create a cause of action. It merely lays down a standard of care and if those to whom it applies violate the provisions thereof, they are negligent." [22] Allegations charging safe-place violation merely allege an act of negligence on the part of the defendant. [23]
