Churches line up against gay marriage ban

Is that like "personally opposed" only more equivocal?
[Aaron] Scherer, executive director of the Paine Art Center and board member of Fair Wisconsin, a group working to defeat the ban, said faith groups are a huge part of the campaign."Literally hundreds of religious leaders have personally kind of pledged to oppose the amendment," Scherer said.
