LaRouche Ally Is Fined $500

The Associated Press reported in The New York Times, August 25, 1986
The Democratic nominee for Secretary of State in Illinois has been fined $500 for presenting a slab of raw liver to a Roman Catholic Archbishop as a protest. The nominee, Janice Hart, a supporter of the political extremist Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr., was fined Thursday after her conviction of disorderly conduct stemming from the incident on May 7, 1985. She said she presented the liver to Archbishop Rembert Weakland of Milwaukee to protest what she said was his support for the International Monetary Fund.
